Man, 25, dies in crash on Ronald Mapp Highway

A 25-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash along the Warleigh Section of the Ronald Mapp Highway (Highway 2A) in St Peter.

Police have identified the victim as Jakeem Romain Scantlebury-Bishop of Indian Ground, St Peter.

According to police,  Scantlebury-Bishop was driving north along the highway around 12: 30 a.m. on Sunday when he lost control of his car, which ran off the road into a bushy area on the left of the carriageway. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Medical Doctor and identified by a family member. 

A passenger in the car complained of pain to his neck, back and shoulder and was transported by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
