Duo bailed on serious bodily harm charge

Two Christ Church men are now on $3,000 bail each after being jointly charged with committing serious bodily harm.

Twenty-five-year-old Darian Joshua Zeko Welch and 21-year-old Jason Antonio Ravaldo Best, both of Silver Hill Landing Scheme, appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court on Monday accused of the offence of committing serious bodily harm to Michael Chase with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or do some serious bodily harm to him on September 12, 2023.

They were not required to plead to the indictable offence.

The prosecution put forward no objections to bail but asked for conditions to be attached, that both accused stay away from the virtual complainant and report to the Oistins Police Station every Monday between 6 a.m. and noon.

The matter is adjourned until January 14, 2024.
