Father acquitted of incest

A father who was accused of incest walked out of Supreme Court No. 2 a free man earlier this week after a nine-member jury found him not guilty on both charges.

He had been charged with committing two counts of incest with his daughter, then under the age of 14, between 2005 and 2011.

The man was represented by attorneys Alwan Babb and Veronica Macfarlane while Principal State Counsel Olivia Davis had prosecuted on behalf of the state.

Justice Randall Worrell presided over the matter.
