Tuach secured her spot in the third round of the women’s shortboard with a score of 8.67 in her head-to-head match against Colombia’s Isabella Gomez, who scored 8.23. The win paves the way for Tuach to compete on Thursday against Chile’s Estela Lopez. In her Pan Am Games debut, Tuach is harbouring the hope of securing Barbados’ first surfing medal at the Games since the discipline was introduced as an official event in 2019. (RT)
