Flood warning discontinued for Barbados

The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) has discontinued the flood warning the the island.

During the morning, moderate to heavy showers generated one to two inches across parts of the island, the BMS said in an update issued at 11 a.m.

The BMS said the threat of flooding has diminished.

A few light to moderate showers are expected during the afternoon and the alert level has been lowered to yellow.

Residents are urged to be aware.
