Fire destroys house at River Land, St Philip

A woman is assisting police with investigations into a house fire at River Land, St Philip this morning.
According to police, the one-bedroom wooden house owned and occupied by Keith Gittens, 53, was destroyed by the blaze which was reported about 7:30 a.m.
No one was home at the time of the fire. The house was uninsured.
Two fire tenders with a team of nine officers from the Barbados Fire Service, led by Divisional officers Tremelle Perch and Fernando McAllister, responded to the fire.
The fire was extinguished by 9:37 a.m.
