Appeal court judge dies

Late Court of Appeal Justice Jefferson Cumberbatch.

The local judiciary was plunged into mourning on Wednesday following the passing of Court of Appeal Justice Jefferson Cumberbatch.

He died at the age of 67 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), following a term of illness.

The judicial officer, who was appointed to the bench in January 2020, was also a senior law lecturer at the University of the West Indies (UWI), a law consultant and a columnist. (EJ)
