Purple completes four-peat at Gordon Greenidge Primary

Purple House made it four in a row at the Gordon Greenidge Primary Inter-House sports, which took place on the school’s grounds on Friday.

After 44 intense events, Purple erupted into a frenzy of joy and hoisted their banner high with a whopping 525 points to their name.

Orange House finished in second place yet again with 501 points, while Blue House was third place with 408 points.

Rashawn Osbourne of Purple House emerged as the undisputed sprint king, leaving a trail of dust behind him in the 150m, 100m, and 80m dashes, while also soaring to victory in the long jump.

Amira Mayers was crowned the victrix ludorum, winning the 300m, 200m, 100m, Long Jump, and even the cricket ball throw.

Mayers also came second in the Open girls’ 600m behind Purple House’s Aniya Cathryn.

Germiney Linder of Orange House also had a good performance, winning the 400m, 100m, 200m, and long jump and was third in the Open 600m. (RT)
