This was the finding of Consultant Pathologist Dr David Gaskin who conducted a post-mortem examination of Earl’s body on February 4, 2014. Giving evidence in the No. 3 Supreme Court as the murder trial of Akeem Jamar Forde continued on Wednesday, the medical examiner told the 12-member jury that an entry wound was observed to the right ear and an exit wound on the left side of the face. “Death was as a result of a gunshot wound to the head,” he said. Police photographer Stacia Spencer also gave evidence and presented photographs to the court of areas in several St Michael districts, including Farnum Road, Chapman Lane, Emmerton Lane, Murphy’s Pasture and Fontabelle. Forde, 30, of Pleasant Hall Housing Area, St Matthias, Christ Church is accused of the shooting death of Earl on January 28, 2014, at Kensington New Road, St Michael. Principal State Counsel Neville Watson and State Counsel Treann Knight are prosecuting the matter, while Senior Counsel Michael Lashley, and attorneys Amoy Gilding-Bourne and Justin Leacock are representing the accused man. The trial continues on Thursday.
