It was an accomplishment worthy of a celebration.

Two-time double crown champions Good Shepherd Primary held a motorcade on Thursday to toast the recent achievements of their athletes at the National Primary School Athletic Championships (NAPSAC).

On Monday, Good Shepherd captured both the boys’ and girls’ titles in the Andrea Blackett Zone for the second successive year.

The motorcade began at the school’s Fitts Village, St James compound and continued through the nearby communities.

Physical education teacher, Jamar Layne told Barbados TODAY the school’s impressive feat was deserving of a celebration.

“Right now we are having a motorcade because we have done the double in the Andrea Blackett Zone of the NAPSAC championships and we are just celebrating in this motorcade.

“We’re celebrating, chanting, cheering and having a good time. As you can see the residents in the community are coming out also and supporting as well,” he said.

Approximately 200 of the school’s 240 students on the roll took part in the motorcade along with 20 teachers and auxillary staff.
