The House of Assembly confirmed on Friday that St James South Member of Parliament Sandra Husbands will officially become the 13th member of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Earlier this week, chairman of the PAC and Leader of the Opposition Ralph Thorne named the other members of the committee who will commence investigations into government’s spending on a number of projects. These include spending on Kensington Oval from a $50 million loan from the African Import Export Bank, the controversial HOPE Housing Project, and the $5 million reportedly spent on refurbishing the Oistins Bay Garden.

Other members of the PAC include MPs Marsha Caddle, Corey Lane, Edmund Hinkson, Kerrie Symmonds and Colin Jordan. Government Senators on the PAC are Lisa Cummins, Chad Blackman and Gregory Nicholls. Representing the Opposition are Senators Tricia Watson and Ryan Walters, while the Independent Senator is Crystal Drakes.
