Shooting incident: Lower Carlton, St James – 20-year-old man dies, six-year-old girl injured

A man, 20, has died after being involved in a shooting at 1st Avenue, Lower Carlton, St James.

Police said the victim was shot outside a residence along the road shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday. He was rushed to the Sandy Crest Medical Centre for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Police also confirmed that a six-year-old girl was shot in her left leg during the incident. She is receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police are still on the scene conducting investigations. (SD)
