YES labs launched to help youth develop businesses

The YES (Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme) Community Business Labs, which seeks to help young people develop businesses and make them sustainable, has been launched.

The programme is structured into three zones – northern, central and southern – and is being rolled out in the northern zone first. More than 20 small business people have signed up for the initiative and classes start today at the Speightstown Resource Centre and will run until October 17.

During the launch, Minister of Youth Charles Griffith said the programme is to decentralise YES and reach young people where they are.
