Members of the Barbados National Organisation of the Disabled (BARNOD) are participating in a four-day workshop in leadership training at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lord’s Castle in Long Bay, St Philip.

During the launch of the event today, Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs Kirk Humphrey said it was important that persons with disabilities equip themselves with the tools needed to make them a good hire.

He called on businesses across the country to be more inclusive and allow disabled persons to contribute to the economy in a meaningful way by giving them an opportunity to put their skills to the test. (SZB)
