National Independence Service set for November 24

This year’s National Independence Service is set for Sunday, November 24 at 10 a.m. at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.
Senator Patricia Parris, a member of the National Planning Committee, told a press conference this morning that the service will be held under the theme, Stronger Together with Peace, Love and Unity and there’s good reason for Barbadians to join the celebration.
“It is open to the public. You do not have to have a ticket to attend this service, it is for all. We will have all the necessary arrangements in place for parking, the road will be free flowing and you will be welcomed warmly when you get to the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex,” she said.
Music will be key feature of the service and the Barbados Police Service Band will lead worship with a 70-member choir.
The service will also feature greetings and congratulatory messages from the Diaspora and religious leaders from the Muslim, Jewish and Bahai faiths.
