Historian Trevor Marshall passes away

Noted historian and educator Trevor Marshall passed away on Wednesday  just one day after celebrating his 77th birthday.

Marshall, a popular academic, was widely respected for his significant contributions to the study and preservation of Caribbean history. His work spanned decades and encompassed a wide range of topics, including the transatlantic slave trade, colonialism, post-colonial societies, and the cultural and political development of the Caribbean region.

Throughout his career, Marshall authored several books, articles, and academic papers that have become essential reading for students and scholars of Caribbean history. He was also a sought-after educator and speaker, known for his engaging style and ability to make complex historical topics easy to understand.
