Singer Angie Stone dies in car crash – reports

American R&B singer and songwriter Angie Stone has died aged 63, according to US media reports.

The Grammy-nominated singer was killed in a car crash after a performance in Montgomery, Alabama early Saturday morning, TMZ reported.

Stone rose to fame in the late 1970s as a member of the hip-hop trio The Sequence.

In the late 1990s to early 2000s, she found success as a solo artiste releasing hits such as No More RainWish I Didn’t Miss You and Brotha.
