Lent, a time of reflection- Bishop Neil Scantlebury

Bishop Neil Scantlebury led a well-attended Ash Wednesday service at St Patrick’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, where he spoke on the importance of reflection, fasting, and respecting others.

He urged the congregation to take time out of their busy lives to pray and give thanks to God. The Bishop explained that fasting isn’t just about food but also about avoiding negative behaviours like speaking badly of others.

He also reminded attendees of the healing power of God’s mercy and invited them to strengthen their connection with God through prayer and fasting during the Lenten season. (LG)
