Teen charged with murder of Kadeem Scantlebury

A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Kadeem Scantlebury in Black Rock, St. Michael.

Kyrese Samuel Eric Leroy Denny, of Fairfield Cross Road, St. Michael, was taken into custody by the Criminal Investigations Department at Black Rock Police Station and formally charged with murder. The incident occurred on February 27, 2025, at Jackman Road, Wavell Avenue.

Denny appeared before Magistrate Allison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court on Thursday, March 13. He was remanded to Dodds Prison and is scheduled to reappear in court on April 10.
