Student injured in stabbing incident on bus

A male student is said to be in stable condition after being stabbed during an altercation on a school bus travelling along Highway 2A in the Bakers, St Peter area.

According to the Barbados Police Service, the incident occurred around 9 o’clock this morning. The injured student sustained a stab wound to his abdomen.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. The student received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Police have confirmed that another male student is currently assisting with their ongoing investigation into the incident.
