The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) has unveiled a new Adopt-A-School Programme – The Futsal Tournament Edition. The initiative blends sport and education to raise funds for school upgrades, including Wi-Fi, computer labs, and beautification projects. BHTA members and private companies can register teams for the futsal tournament by June 16 via BHTA’s social media. Proceeds will support four to five selected schools. The educational arm also offers real-world exposure for students in tourism, from culinary arts to hotel management. Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw praised the initiative as a significant moment in supporting education transformation.
