Man shot and killed in Eden Lodge

Police are investigating the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Donte Tyrell Alleyne in Eden Lodge, St Michael, late Monday night.

Lawmen said they received a report of gunfire at Downhill Drive, Eden Lodge, around 11:58 p.m. Several mobile units were dispatched to the scene, where the motionless body of a male was found lying outside a residence.

Ambulance personnel who responded found no signs of life, and a medical doctor later arrived and officially pronounced the man dead.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, a resident of Block 20E, Downhill Drive, was walking home when he was approached by an assailant and shot multiple times. He died at the scene.
