Police seize firearms, ammunition in ongoing crackdown

Four firearms and a quantity of ammunition have been seized by law enforcement officers as part of a series of targeted operations aimed at tackling the recent wave of murders and robberies across Barbados.

The Barbados Police Service (BPS), working in collaboration with the Barbados Defence Force, made the seizures over the past several days during coordinated efforts.

Several individuals are said to be in custody and are assisting police with ongoing investigations related to the weapons seizures.

Police officials have reaffirmed their commitment to using all available resources to address the rise in violent crime.

In a statement, the BPS assured the public that it is working tirelessly to bring the situation under control and to maintain the safety and security of residents. (PR/BT)
