BUT, Education Ministry in discussions at St Bernard’s Primary

Officials of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) and educators were in discussions with representatives from the Ministry of Education this morning following the reopening of St Bernard’s Primary School in St Joseph.

The rural school had been closed last Thursday and Friday to allow for industrial cleaning, after an outbreak of a skin condition affected several students. Reported symptoms included peeling of the skin on the hands, rashes, and sores.

The school reopened this morning. (SZB)
