Murder accused remanded to Dodds

Evan Raheem Andre Jordan is on remand at Dodds Prison after appearing in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on Monday, charged with committing murder last month.

The 30-year-old coconut vendor of Barrack Road, Bank Hall, St Michael, was not required to plead to the indictable charge that on June 16, he murdered Anderson Calderon in The Ivy.

Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes remanded Jordan, who is represented by attorney-at-law Safiya Moore, until August 11.

The matter was transferred to the District ‘A’ Traffic Court.
