Elderly couple and daughter deny assault

An elderly couple and their daughter are set to return to court in October after pleading not guilty to assault charges.

Kamilah Marilyn Orna McCaskie, 37; Orna Antonette McCaskie, 64; and David Silvester McCaskie, 70, all residents of Hinkson Gap, Danesbury, Black Rock, St Michael, appeared before the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court. They are charged with assaulting Mark Thompson, causing him actual bodily harm on July 8.

David McCaskie additionally denied damaging a motor van belonging to Thompson on the same day, with intent or reckless disregard for damage.

Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes granted each accused $4 000 bail and ordered them to keep away from the complainant.

The case was transferred to the District ‘A’ Traffic Court and will continue on October 17.
