Patrons on a high as ICE SOCA delivers more of everything

Mikey had the crowd fully hyped.

ICE SOCA 2025 was nothing short of exceptional; a show-stopping spectacle that delivered more of everything and left patrons raving well into the early morning hours.

Held on the scenic lawns of the Philip Balgrove Training Turf at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, the event fully lived up to its reputation as one of the hottest tickets for Crop Over Thursday. From start to 2:45 a.m. finish, it was an immersive, nonstop soca celebration.

This year’s Crop-Over edition of ICE was a major level-up, offering more food, more drinks, more entertainment, more giveaways, more memorabilia, more hype, and an elevated VIP experience. From VIP parking to complimentary shuttles for patrons, every detail was considered and executed flawlessly.

The ambiance was elegant and energetic. Patrons were greeted with ICE-branded décor at every turn, eye-catching stage visuals, a dynamic truss, and an ultra-Instagrammable photo wall made for stunning backdrops. The signature summer colour theme pulsed through the crowd, tying the atmosphere together in a sea of vibrant style.

For the first time, ICE amped up its musical offering with live band performances, setting a new standard for Crop Over food-inclusive events. The De Unit Band, under the direction of Tito Ellis, seamlessly backed each act, replacing track performances with a richer, more dynamic sound that electrified the night.

The DJ cast and host Infamous the Voice kept the energy high between sets, but it was the artistes who truly packed the punch at ICE.

Hypasounds kicked things off with an adrenaline boost, Edwin Yearwood delivered a nostalgia-filled set, and Tionne, the lone female on the lineup, held her own with a confident performance.

Mole had the crowd “chirping like birds”, while Mikey unleashed pure mayhem with his 2025 smash People. Closing the live entertainment segment, Leadpipe and Saddis, alongside Grateful Co, brought the house down with a crowd-pleasing finale.

The event was well attended, brilliantly executed, and undeniably enjoyed, ICE SOCA has cemented its place as a Crop Over staple for its patrons.

Their feedback was overwhelmingly glowing.

One partygoer who is a repeat attendee said: “ICE 2025 took the cake. It was absolutely amazing.”

Those sentiments were echoed by another patron.

“I am still in awe cause to me this feels like an all-inclusive event. But this is food-inclusive which is about half the price of an all-inclusive. ICE really stepped it up this year. There were no long lines for food or drinks. This is what a VIP experience is all about,” she declared.

Another said ICE will now be a staple on his Crop Over calendar.

“This is my first time at ICE and I am glad I decided to come. Clearly, I made the right choice. I give everything 10 out of 10. I will definitely be back next year,” the Bajan Yankee explained.

Even after the final notes faded, many partygoers lingered, reluctant to let go of the good vibes. That, perhaps, is the greatest testament to the success of ICE SOCA.

When asked producers ICEEvents246 summed it up best: “ICE SOCA was epic! The feedback has been great! We upgraded the brand while staying true to what people love: that easy access, great service, pure energy and top-tier entertainment. This is exactly how people want to kick off the Crop Over weekend.” (IMC)
