Murder trial to continue on August 20

The murder trial of Terrell Griffith will continue in the No. 5 Supreme Court on August 20.

Griffith, of Haynesville, St James, is charged with the September 9, 2018, murder of Dario Greaves.

On Wednesday, the 12-member jury heard evidence from the accused, who gave an unsworn statement from the dock, and from two defence witnesses.

The defence is expected to bring its final witness when the trial resumes later this month, before the jury hears closing arguments.

Acting Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Krystal Delaney and Senior State Counsel Kevin Forde are appearing for the State, while King’s Counsel Michael Lashley represents the accused.

Madam Justice Pamela Beckles presides.
