Final PSV operators’ workshop for 2025

Operators of public service vehicles (PSVs) are invited to register for the upcoming workshop series, the final session for 2025.

The workshops begin on October 12, and run every Sunday until November 2, at the Barbados Community College’s Jean and Norma Holder Hospitality Institute, Marine Gardens, Christ Church. The sessions are delivered face to face from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Lunch is provided.

At the end of the workshop series, participants will be able to identify the occupational hazards and risks to PSV operators; apply defensive driving techniques; handle and resolve conflicts in the work environment in a socially acceptable manner; and understand the legal requirements for operating a PSV and the role of the regulatory body that governs their operations.

They will also be exposed to techniques that improve the level of service offered to the travelling public through exceptional customer service practices, apply techniques to improve workplace wellness, and develop workplace wellness programmes.

Drivers, conductors, and owners are strongly encouraged to participate. Registration forms are available from the Office of the Registrar at the “Eyrie”, Howell’s Cross Road campus. They should be completed and returned to the office.
