St Michael man remanded on gun, ammunition charges

A 25-year-old unemployed man from St Michael has been remanded at Dodds Prison, charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Shakiel Renico James of Lower Collymore Rock is accused of having an unlicensed firearm and seven rounds of ammunition last Wednesday.

He appeared before Magistrate Alison Burke in the District ‘A’ Traffic Court and was not required to plead to the indictable charges.

James is represented by defence attorney Shadia Simpson and is due back in court on January 7.
