TBPS celebrates first female acting deputy police commissioner

he Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is celebrating a milestone in its history as it hails Sonia Boyce on becoming the organisation’s first female acting deputy commissioner of police.

In a message issued on behalf of the commissioner of police and all ranks, the service praised Boyce for her leadership and dedication.

“Your leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to service have paved the way for this achievement and continue to inspire officers across every division and rank,” the service said.

“We salute your dedication, your integrity, and your steadfast pursuit of excellence. As you step into this distinguished role, we offer our full support and confidence. May your tenure be marked by continued progress, strengthened community trust, and the advancement of policing in Barbados.”

TBPS stated that Boyce’s appointment is not only a personal triumph but a defining moment for the entire service and the nation. (PR/BT)
