Free health screenings available at Queen’s Park today

Barbadians will have access to free health screenings today as the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ mobile clinic is stationed at Queen’s Park, Constitution Road, St Michael.

The clinic, which operates from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., is offering a range of services aimed at early detection and prevention, including screening for non-communicable diseases, blood pressure and blood sugar testing, prostate-specific antigen (PSA) testing, screening for sexually transmitted infections, and breast examinations with guidance.

The mobile clinic will also be at Folkestone Marine Park in Holetown, St James, on Tuesday, January 6, during the same operating hours.

No vaccines will be administered at either location, the Ministry said.

The mobile clinic initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to bring essential health services directly into communities and encourage regular screening among the public.
