Teen remanded on illegal gun, ammo charges

A teenager facing illegal firearm and ammunition charges was remanded to Dodds Prison on Thursday after appearing in a Bridgetown court.

 

Jabari Xavier Barker, 17, of Headley’s Land, Deacons Road, St Michael, is accused of possessing a firearm without a valid licence and six rounds of ammunition without a valid permit on January 5.

Barker, who is represented by attorney Sade Harris, was not required to plead to the indictable charges.

The accused will make his next appearance before Magistrate Alison Burke on February 2.
