Magistrate Oliver Thomas passes away

Magistrate Oliver Thomas, who was appointed to the Bench earlier this month, has died suddenly at the age of 39, sending shockwaves through the legal community.

Thomas passed away on Wednesday, just one day after presiding over several matters in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court.

Thomas was admitted to the Bar in 2014 and served as a Principal State Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions before his recent elevation to the magistracy. (BT)
