71-year-old woman charged with murder

A 71-year-old St Michael woman has been formally charged with murder following investigations by the Barbados Police Service.

 

Veronica Eudora Mayers, of Bridge Gap, Upper Goodland, St Michael, is accused of the murder of Ralph Forde, which allegedly occurred on March 9, 2026.

Police said the charge was brought by officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department at Black Rock.

Mayers appeared before Chief Magistrate Deidre McKenna at the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Monday morning and was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge.

The accused was remanded until April 13. She will make her next appearance in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 2.
