Man, 42, charged with firearm, ammunition offences

A 42-year-old man is facing charges of possession of a firearm and eight rounds of ammunition.

Keimar Orlando Payne, of 1st Avenue, Eckstein Village, St Michael, was charged by the Barbados Police Service’s Serious Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) in connection with an incident on March 14.

He appeared before Chief Magistrate Deidre McKenna in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 19, where he was not required to plead to the indictable offences.

Payne was remanded to the Barbados Prison Service (Dodds), and the matter was transferred to the District ‘A’ Criminal Court No. 2 for April 16.
