July trial date for rape case

A Hillaby, St Thomas man will stand trial in July on a rape charge.

 

Macpherson Lee Anderson Mayers is accused that he had sexual intercourse with a woman by allegedly inserting his penis into her mouth without her consent on March 21, 2020.

 

He pleaded not guilty to the charge before Justice Pamela Beckles in the No. 5 Supreme Court during his arraignment.

 

The case was set for trial on July 1.

 

Senior State Counsel Kevin Forde prosecutes the case, while defence attorney Andrew Willoughby represents the accused.
