One dead after equipment collapse at Lears Quarry

Police are investigating an unnatural death following an incident at a quarry at Lears, St Michael on Wednesday morning.

According to initial reports, around 9:57 a.m., several persons were in the area setting up a piece of equipment when it collapsed, injuring four individuals.

One man died at the scene. Another injured person was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, while two others sought private medical assistance.

Investigations are continuing.
