Barbados power past Antigua to stay unbeaten

Barbados remain unbeaten after four matches at the Jean Pierre Under-16 Netball Championships in Trinidad.

The Baby Gems continued their dominant campaign today with a commanding 39–13 victory over Antigua and Barbuda.

Barbados were in control from the outset, never trailing and setting the tone early with a 12–3 lead after the first quarter. They extended their advantage to 23–7 at half-time and 32–9 after three quarters, before closing out a comfortable win.

Playing in their third game of the competition yesterday, Barbados defeated Cayman Islands 42-17, after leading 8-4, 21-6 and 33-11 at the end of each quarter.

 

In Monday’s action at the UWI St Augustine campus, the Baby Gems trounced Dominica 23-15. Barbados led 6-2 after the first quarter, 11-8 at half time and 18-13 after the third period, before going on to seal the win.

 

Barbados opened their campaign with a 20-12 win over Grenada.
