In a social media post, Mottley said she met with the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police, along with the Chief of Staff of the Barbados Defence Force, as the country grapples with the latest incident.

“In moments like these, nothing matters more than the safety of our people,” Mottley wrote.

Police Commissioner Richard Boyce has since described the attack as a targeted act of retaliation and warned that those responsible will be pursued.
