Lions dumped out of Champions Cup by Parish Land

Premier League outfit St Andrew Lions were shockingly eliminated from the Barbados Football Association’s Champions Cup by Division One side Parish Land in the opening round.

The Lions, who are already in a battle to avoid relegation from the Premiership, were upset 2-1.

However, two other Premier League teams comfortably advanced to the second round.

Paradise continued the form that has seen them top the league at various points this season with a 6-1 demolition of Elite, while fellow Premier League side Bagatelle also advanced to the next round with a 2-0 victory over United Stars Academy.

In other results, Caribbean United defeated Lodge Road 3-1, 

Glebe beat Eastern United 2-1 and Orange Hill blanked Hothersal Turning 4-0.

Police eased to a 4-2 win over Central League Spartans, Greens were handed a 2-1 defeat by Pinelands and Pro Shottas blanked Dayrells 

Road 3-0.

Following a 1-1 draw, Ivy Rovers edged Cave Hill 7-6 on penalties, while 

Atlas defeated L&R United 2-1, with FM Four Pillars also getting past Villa Utd 2-1 and Maxwell having a similar margin of victory over Potential Ballers.
