Defending champions shine despite rain interruption

The 2025 champions Shirley Chisholm Primary recorded another lopsided victory when the Pedialyte Sport National Sports Council Primary School Netball Competition continued on Friday.

Playing in the Carolyn Sinclair/Marion Johnson-Hurley Zone at Dover, the defending champions blanked Bay Primary 11-0 in one of the competition’s most comprehensive victories thus far.

The impressive Shirley Chisholm were leading 6-0 against St Paul’s Primary, when rain washed out play with just 44 seconds having elapsed in the second half. St Paul’s Primary then awarded the game to their opponents.

St Gabriel’s and St Lawrence Primary played to a two all draw, St Paul’s defeated St Christopher 5-2, Christ Church Girls’ eased past St Gabriel’s 4-0, while St Christopher Primary and St Lawrence Primary played out a 4-4 draw.
