Man denies assaulting police officers

A St Michael man has been granted $2 000 bail after denying charges of assaulting and resisting police officers.

Samuel Christopher Taylor, 40, of Woodstock Road, Spooners Hill, appeared in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick and denied that he assaulted Police Constables Anne-Marie Lynch and Paul Mapps in the execution of their duty on May 18.

He also pleaded not guilty to resisting Lynch.

There was no objection to bail, and the case was adjourned until August 26.
