St Michael man accused of murder, firearm offences remanded

Murder accused Adrico Shakur Rudder making his way to court at the District A this morning

A 24-year-old man has been remanded to prison after appearing in court charged with murder and firearm offences in connection with a fatal shooting last month.

Adrico Shakur Rudder, of Allamby Gap, Spooners Hill, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Criminal Court on Tuesday.

Rudder is accused of the murder of Terrell Cumberbatch, as well as the illegal use of a firearm, allegedly stemming from an incident on April 29.

Due to the capital nature of the charge, the accused was not required to enter a plea. The acting chief magistrate ordered Rudder remanded to Dodds Prison.

Rudder is scheduled to make his next court appearance on June 23.
