Fresh from a huge victory over St Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados is eying more movement up the World Rugby rankings, ahead of hosting an upcoming game against Guyana.

The local side hammered St Vincent and the Grenadines 68-0 last weekend and will host Guyana at the Garrison Savannah on June 6, in a Rugby Americas North international test match from 7:00 p.m.

Barbados enters the match with confidence following last year’s historic 45–5 victory over Guyana at the same venue, the team’s first win over The Green Machine in nearly two decades.

Guyana, meanwhile, will be eager to rebound after a narrow 9–5 defeat to Bermuda in Georgetown earlier this year, setting the stage for what promises to be a fiercely contested encounter.

Barbados head coach Joe Whipple has named the following squad for the fixture:

Chris Blades, Malique Broomes, Jermaine Bynoe, Nicholas Daniel, Aiden Foley, Antonio Gibbons, Rajiv Grant, John Shane Howard, Louis Johnson, Cadeem Knight,J amie Lashley,Taurean Marshall, Stephen Millar,

Jeremy Nelson, Enrique Oxley, Noah Paskins, D’Andre Phillips, Daniel Ramsay,Josh Rudling, Albert Stoute, Solomon Whittaker, Shane Taylor and Sean Ward.
