Duo on firearm, ammunition charges

Two Christ Church men appeared in the Supreme Court on firearm and ammunition charges, with one pleading guilty and the other denying the offences.

When they were arraigned before Justice Carlisle Greaves in the No. 3 Supreme Court, Tahshawn Rashad Smith, 25, of Portvale Road, Sayers Court, Christ Church pleaded guilty that on May 7, 2025, he had a 9mm pistol without a valid licence and six rounds of ammunition without a valid permit.

Justice Greaves ordered a pre-sentence report for Smith and sentencing was set for September 18.

Ayeko Adrian Alleyne, 24, of McClean Road, Silver Sands, Christ Church denied the charges and will return to court for trial dates to be set.

Alleyne is represented by defence attorneys Marlon Gordon and Jeremy Bowen. Acting Director of Public Prosecutions Krystal Delaney is prosecuting the case.
