Arthur Smith stun West Terrace in NSC, BICO football competition

2025 runners-up Arthur Smith Primary eliminated defending champions West Terrace Primary from the National Sports Council BICO Primary Schools Football Competition.

In a highly anticipated quarterfinal at Greens, St George, Arthur Smith secured a 2-0 victory thanks to a Giovanni Edwards goal and an own goal.

Milton Lynch Primary have also advanced to the last four, following a 1-0 victory over St Stephen’s. Yashiro Brown got the lone goal in that encounter.

It took penalties to decide the winner of the match between St Cyprians and Wesley Hall Primary. St Cyprians eventually won the shoot out 4-2, after the game had initially been locked at a goal apiece.

Christian Reid was on target for St Cyprians in regulation time, while Zidane Hinds got Wesley Hall’s goal.

Another close encounter saw penalties being required to decide the winner of the game between St George Primary and Deacons.

Armani Herbert’s goal for St George Primary and one from Emilio Morgan from Deacons Primary made it 1-1 at the end of regulation and extra time, before St George prevailed 3-1 on penalties.

Thursday’s semifinal lineups at the Wildey Technical Centre will see St Cyprians opposing Milton Lynch, while Arthur Smith tackle St George Primary.
