Labourer granted bail on drug and money laundering charges

A 48-year-old labourer accused of drug and money laundering offences has been granted bail after appearing in court, with the case set to continue later this year.

No pleas were taken from Kelvin Anthony Tison during his appearance in the No. 2 District A Magistrates’ Court.

The 48-year-old labourer of Valerie High Rise, Brittons Hill, St Michael, is accused of being in possession of, trafficking, and intending to supply a quantity of cannabis on July 10.

He is also charged with directly engaging in a transaction involving $1 689.35, a benefit said to be the proceeds of crime.

The charges are all indictable.

Magistrate Manila Renee released him on $5 000 bail and adjourned the case until November 24.
