Youth fined for cannabis possession

A St Michael youth has been fined $750 after admitting to cannabis possession, while being spared convictions on more serious drug charges.

Ramario Rashawn Best-Hinkson of Green Park Lane, Baxters Road, appeared before Magistrate Manila Renee in the No. 2 District A Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to possession of, trafficking in, and intent to supply 113 grams of a controlled substance last Friday.

He was fined $750 for the possession charge, to be paid within one day, failing which he would face one week at Dodds Prison.

Magistrate Renee reprimanded and discharged him on the trafficking and intent to supply offences.
