Man remanded on murder and rape charges

A 21-year-old Parish Land, Christ Church man has been remanded to Dodds Prison after appearing in court on indictable charges of murder and rape.

Shazan Deron Marshall appeared before acting magistrate Gayl Scott in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plead to the charge of murdering Cammeron Ifill on July 13.

Ifill, of Pasture Road, Bank Hall, was shot and killed while in a bedroom at Gall Hill, Christ Church.

Marshall is also accused of raping a minor on May 12.

He was not required to plead to either of the indictable offences.

The accused will return to the Oistins court on the murder charge on September 2, while the rape case was transferred to the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court, where he is scheduled to appear on September 1.
